Scale Bank Acquires Provident Commercial Finance

Minneapolis, MN / April 8, 2024 –Scale Bank has acquired Provident Commercial Finance (Provident), a factoring provider based in Chattanooga, Tenn. This acquisition contributes to Scale Bank’s growth in the factoring market, which it serves through its Scale Funding division.
Provident was founded in 2015 by Talley Clower and Jason Langston, who built a factoring business that has served over 900 customers. Provident’s current customer base, along with the Provident team, are part of the acquisition. Provident’s focus includes providing factoring services to small-fleet trucking companies, which complements Scale Funding’s customer mix in the transportation sector. Both companies also finance temporary staffing businesses, oil & gas service companies, and other industries.
