Scale Funding Rises to Challenge – 2014 Food Mania Fight to End Hunger

As part of its 2014 charitable giving campaign, Scale Funding, a leading provider of oilfield factoring services, has “risen to the challenge” during the Second Harvest Heartland’s 2014 Food Mania challenge.

Held between June 16th and June 27th, Food Mania was the ultimate food fight among local-area businesses to see who could earn the most points by donating food, funds and volunteer hours to end hunger in our community. In total, the competition raised over $37,000, 365 volunteer hours and 4,246 pounds of food items (enough to provide more than 150,000 meals for the local St. Paul/Minneapolis community.)

Scale Funding was new to this year’s event, and because of their contributions, they’ve been rewarded with the following exciting achievements:

  • Sector Overall First Place Winner for Kitchen Sink
  • Sector Per Capita First Place Winner for Kitchen Sink
  • Rookie Award

“I’m extremely proud of our company,” said Daniel Robbins CEO of Scale Funding. “We take great pride in supporting many organizations that share in our belief that it is our duty and responsibility to help improve the lives of others.”

Daniel Robbins explained the charitable giving process Scale Funding uses to choose which organizations to support.

“The charitable giving program is run entirely by staff members. We rely on the opinions of our Steering Committee to explore organizations that share our beliefs and support the vulnerable and exploited members of our community,” said Daniel Robbins. “The Steering Committee is made up of Scale Funding employees who have committed their time to researching charitable organizations, planning events and meeting to discuss the company’s charitable giving, both in terms of funds and volunteerism.”

Daniel Robbins said, “Our charitable giving program is incredibly rewarding for myself, Scale Funding, our employees, the organizations we work with and the community members these organizations support.”

“Scale Funding is committed to giving back to our community,” said Daniel Robbins. “We plan to continue the charitable giving program in 2015 and beyond, with hopes of further assisting organizations and community members.”
